Cherokee Marksman

Is it my imagination or did the Asheville Post Card Company out of North Carolina produce some of  the most politically-incorrect (by today's standards) postcards of the linen era?...BTW, nice job on the skin tone...NOT!

  1. They certainly went overboard with the coloring, didn't they.

  2. Interesting observation! I'm going to pay more attention to their postcards - I wonder if it was deliberate or if they were cheap on production!

  3. I think it was a horrible sunburn to the face considering the hands seem "somewhat" normal. Definitely overkill on the face. Great composition for a postcard though. **This postcard brought to you by TARGET.

  4. The bright, simplistic colors make me think of pop art, like something Andy Warhol might have done!
